Burlap, Burlap, Burlap!
I had the chance to shop the Kane County Flea Market this past Sunday with my sister, her husband and my little 9 month old Andy. We came across some burlap coffee sacks and immediately fell in love with the texture, colors and grooviness of this material. We purchased three and as soon as we got back to the workroom our imaginations took over. We've had these stools and little table sitting around for quite sometime not knowing what we wanted to do with them. We tested some of the patterns on the tops and found some extra foam and batting to upholster the small stools. After a few staples and glue we instantly had three amazing little pieces. They are on sale at our little booth...$19=table and $33=stools!

Vyntique Furnishings
Hi Everyone! I know its been awhile since my last post but I had a very busy and exciting past few years. I moved back to the Chicagoland area after spending a solid ten years in Boston. I miss the scenery and having an everyday is an adventure type spirit but I wouldn't trade it for my new family. Its been almost a year since I married my high school sweetheart and the love of my life. My son Andrew is almost seven months now and our two older sons start school in a few weeks so I'll have lots more time to write about the things I find and fall in love with.
We've spent most of the summer up at our cottage in Williams Bay, WI. It's about an hour and half from Chicago and a block away from beautiful Geneva Lake, or better know as Lake Geneva. Williams Bay, WI is a small town that has a small town feel but is very trendy with its new businesses.
I came across a wonderful little furniture studio named Vyntique Furnishings. The designer, Sam, up-cycles yard sale and flea market finds by putting her own unique details on things. I feel in love with some of her pieces and have been trying very hard to rearrange the furnishings in the cottage to fit hers in.
Check out her page on Facebook at Vyntigue Furnishings... Love, Love Love!
